creativity area
Looking to move out of my parents’ house, want room for creativity? More details inside.?

I go to college here in the area (Hampton Roads, in Virginia). Due to some family differences, I have about 58 days to move out. I want to be able to paint and make some changes to my new home. So I’m thinking a townhouse might be my best interest. Like renting to own? But how do I go about that? I know you can look up apartments and go through the rental process on your own, but can you do that with a townhouse or is it like a house where it’s super hard to do on your own and your best bet is a realtor?
For Herve Jo and anyone else’s opinion, it’s not my choice to leave my home. It’s a legal issue. Which is why there is a specific number of days that I have to move out. If you’re not going to answer the question, kindly keep your thoughts to yourself.

You might want to consider working with a Realtor. They are going to know what is open in the market whether for rent or sale. They can save you time and money and frustration… it takes time to search for what you need. So select a Realtor you are comfortable with, make sure they have a CRS or GRI designation which shows they’ve been working in the business and taken higher education to be expert in the field. Make a list of what you have to have in a new place and maybe some of the “would like to haves” as well. And let them do the work for you.

I think it’s wonderful that you are considering real estate, it keeps our economy moving along. Good Luck!
