Can a four-hour sleep(everyday) help me in becoming a genius?
I’m a college student.Time devotion determines the most intelligent student.I I’m a competitive type of person who wants to become a genius. Who should i follow einstein (nine hour sleep) or edison(four hours sleep). Does this kind of discplining myself helpful or not? Health or hardwork. Creativity and sleep…
To function at your best, you need to get the amount of sleep that is optimal for you, probably 8-10 hours like everyone else.
To find out for yourself how much sleep you need:
1) Set aside one week of vacation from school, work, etc. It usually takes a week to work.
2) Get mild aerobic exercise in the sun every day so your sleep isn’t affected in a negative way.
3) Make sure that you have at least 10 hours of quiet time with no interruptions in the house at night.
4) Go to bed at the same time every night with NO alarm set, stay in bed for at least 8 hours, but get up when you wake up naturally (after the 8 hours is up).
By the end of the week, you will probably be waking up at the same time every morning, and you will know how many hours of sleep your body needs every night. The human body does not function right when it is forced to stay up at night. That includes the sleep function, so this won’t work if you try sleeping during the day and staying up all hours at night.
I think it was Ben Franklin who said that every hour of sleep before midnight is equal to two after—works for me!
If you do stay up too late at night or don’t get enough sleep for any reason, try catnapping after study the next day, or while you are working on a problem. Memory storage and problem solving seem to work better than if you don’t nap, though not as good as getting a good night’s sleep in the first place.
